Employee Engagement
We communicate regularly with our employees to keep them informed about business initiatives, to encourage their involvement in company activities and to share their feedback with management. We also support our employees in their ability to engage with each other through internal social media channels.
In addition to one-to-one and team meetings with employees, Motorola Mobility’s employee communication channels include:
- Weekly e-newsletter, NEWS@MMI, for all employees
- Email and video messages from senior leaders
- Quarterly earnings town halls led by Chairman and CEO Sanjay Jha, webcast globally
- “Ask & Answer” online employee forum
- “Ask & Answer LIVE” employee Q&A global webcasts with senior leaders serving as panelists, 2-3 times annually
- @MMI employee portal (intranet website) which includes company news and key wins, as well as videos featuring news, product information and industry insights
- Mot TV closed-circuit TV system highlighting business messages and featuring a news service
- E-cards highlighting exciting milestone activities, such as product launches, trade shows and industry awards, as well as employee events including celebrations and product demo days
- Internal social media including DISCUSS@MMI (Twitter- and Facebook-esque) microblogs, personal profile and networking pages
- Some use of external social media, such as Facebook and Twitter
- ThinkTank Idea Exchange, our virtual marketplace which acts as a repository of creative ideas. Employees can play a game – trading securities that represent ideas for product breakthroughs, process improvements and cost savings. The goal is to invest in ideas that will create the most value for Motorola Mobility.
