Corporate Responsibility
Motorola Mobility

CR Management

Our global corporate responsibility team coordinates all relevant activities at Motorola Mobility worldwide. It also establishes performance indicators, sets goals for improvement and reports progress to our stakeholders.

We operate a rigorous environment, health and safety management system and have green leaders in each business, whose task is to reduce the environmental impact of our products throughout their lifecycles. We also have a dedicated corporate responsibility team to assess suppliers' compliance with our strict Supplier Code of Conduct.

It is difficult to manage what you don’t measure. We have therefore established, and track, company-wide metrics in key areas of corporate responsibility. To identify appropriate metrics, we draw on the findings of our stakeholder engagement efforts, best practice reports and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.

Internal communication

We promote corporate responsibility to employees through many communication channels. These include the company intranet, weekly e-news summaries, employee meetings, leadership messages, and internal video and audio systems. Each year, we share metrics and achievements with employees and encourage them to read our annual CR report online.

Stakeholder engagement

Our corporate responsibility efforts can go farther, faster, when we work with others. Feedback from global, regional and local stakeholders helps us assess our performance and inform our priorities. We seek input from customers, employees, suppliers, NGOs, socially responsible investors and government agencies. We also belong to stakeholder forums relevant to our industry, including the Electronics Industry Citizen Coalition (EICC).
